Ceramic Spoons and Pinch Bowl Workshop

  • The Lemon Bowl Collective

Join us for a hands on workshop to create ceramic spoons and a small pinch bowl. During this workshop you'll use clay and a variety of tools and stamps to craft functional spoons and a small bowl that makes a great salt cellar or jewllery holder. The workshop fee includes one pinch bowl and 2 spoons, all materials and choice of glazes. Kuzeh Pottery will fire all the pieces in our kiln, and they will be available within three weeks of the workshop. Bring your friends and join us for this fun and functional event!

Your teacher:

Kuzeh Potttery's Co-owner Pegah Shahghasemi, holds a degree in graphic design and blends influences from her Persian culture with commercial design skills for pottery that echoes traditional eastern patterns combined with clean, modern lines. Kuzeh Pottery is located on the Arts Walk in the Brookland section of Washington DC and combines a working studio with a retail space.

Ceramic Tea Light Holder Workshop

Roll up your sleeves and join us for a hands on workshop to create ceramic tea light holder. During this workshop you'll use clay slabs and a variety of tools and stamps to craft functional tea light holders, that make a great addition to your home's decore. The workshop fee includes all materials and choice of glazes. Kuzeh Pottery will fire all the pieces in our kiln, and they will be available within two weeks of the workshop. Bring your friends and join us for this fun and functional event!

Your teachers:

Kuzeh Potttery's owners and artists Pegah Shahghasemi and Lisa Ramber represent a wide range of talents and experiences. Pegah, who holds a degree in graphic design, blends influences from her Persian culture with commercial design skills for pottery that echoes traditional eastern patterns combined with clean, modern lines. Lisa's pottery showcases her skills with color and composition, learned while earning a fine arts degree in painting, with influences from the animal kingdom and her years living in the Mediterranean area, and throughout the U.S. Kuzeh Pottery is located on the Arts Walk in the Brookland section of Washington DC and combines a working studio with a retail space.

During this workshop, each participant will use a clay slab and a variety of tools and stamps to craft a functional dessert plate that will make a great addition and keepsake in your home. The workshop fee includes all materials and choice of glazes. Kuzeh Pottery will fire all the pieces in our kiln, and they will be available within two weeks of the workshop. Bring your kids, friends and join us for this fun and functional event!

NOTE: Don't worry, we'll help the young ones get creative so the adults can have fun too. Kids ages 5-12 will need to have an adult with them. This event is suitable for kids age 5 and up.

Dreaming of making the most delicious and perfect pie for your next family gathering or holiday party?  Even better, how would you like to serve the pie in a beautiful, one-of-a-kind handmade pie dish?  Join chef and illustrator, Marcella Kriebel, and Kuzeh Pottery for a hands-on pie making class and learn how to make a scrumptious pie.  You'll be doing this while sharing a cocktail (and pie) with old and new friends in the warm and inviting atmosphere of west elm.

1 Pie to take home and bake (the one you make in class!)

Hand-build Pottery Workshop

  • Lemon Bowl

Want to drink your coffee and eat your croissant using a mug and plate that you made?  Join Kuzeh Pottery and have fun working with clay to hand-build your own mug and plate on Saturday, November 5 from 11am-1pm at the Lemon Bowl.

You'll learn step-by-step how to make your own personalized mug and how to use a simple mold to make a plate.  You can bring in objects with exciting textures such as leaves, shells or lace to incorporate into your piece or we'll have a large selection of stamps and textures available for your use.  In addition, we'll have a number of underglazes that you can use to add color to your pieces.  

The mugs and plates are food, dishwasher and microwave safe. All cups and plates will be available for pick-up two weeks after the class at Kuzeh Pottery

All materials will be provided and are included.
